Water Filter Maintenance Made Simple
Taking care of your Nazava filter is easy, and it comes down to two main things: cleaning and replacing parts.
Cleaning the Water Filter Containers
First up, let’s talk cleaning. To clean the water containers, simply remove all the parts and wash the container using detergent. Just remember to rinse it thoroughly before putting it back. Cleaning the containers every week will prevent any stains from building up and keep your filter looking fresh.
Replacing the Filter Candle
Now, for replacing the water filter candle. The good news is, you won’t have to do this too often. Nazava’s filter candle can handle up to 7,000 liters of water! You should replace it when the ceramic part gets worn down to less than 5 centimeters in diameter. A quick measurement will let you know when it’s time for a new one.
Troubleshooting Common Issues of your household water purifier
No matter how well you maintain your filter, a few issues might pop up. Here’s how to handle them:
Blocked or Clogged water Filter
The most common issue? A blocked filter. If the water flow slows down, it’s likely clogged. Start by filling the upper container and checking that the hose is properly installed. If the flow is still slow, gently scrub the ceramic with a sponge and rinse with water (no detergent!). Still not working? Try a rougher sponge or brush—but don’t scrub it completely white. If none of this works, it’s time to replace the filter candle.
Broken Water Filter Tap
If the tap breaks, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered. We’re improving the tap quality, but in the meantime, arrange a replacement, and we’ll send a new one with the next shipment.
Color Change in Ceramic of the water filter
Notice the ceramic turning brown or black? That’s totally normal. It’s just the ceramic filtering out iron and manganese. Simply clean it until the flow improves—don’t stress about the color! Read more about iron and manganese removal here
Fast Flow, Dirty Water from the water filter
If the water flows too quickly and stays dirty, check how long it takes to fill the lower container. If it fills up in under an hour, the filter candle might be cracked and needs replacing. Same goes if you spot any cracks in the filter itself.
Wrapping Up
That’s it for today’s tutorial! We’ve covered the basics of maintaining your Nazava filter and troubleshooting the most common problems. You’re all set to keep your filter in great condition and help your customers do the same.
