Video: A Decade of Impact: Nazava’s Mission for Safe Drinking Water
We see that this good old video still gets a lot of viewers today so we wanted to add some context. In this video our CEO founder Lieselotte Heederik talked about a harsh reality: every day, 74 children in Indonesia die from drinking dirty, bacteria-filled water. It’s heartbreaking, but for the 150 million people living on less than $7 a day, clean water is often out of reach.
That’s why Nazava exists—to offer the most affordable, safe household water filters. For just $30, our filters allow families to purify their well, tap, or rainwater without the need for boiling or electricity. This not only improves health but also saves households an average of $117 per year. Back when this video was made, we had already reached over 50,000 people. By 2016, our goal was to help 1 million people access safe drinking water while creating opportunities for over 300 entrepreneurs and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Fast Forward to Today
It’s been 10 years since that video, and while our mission remains the same, Nazava has come a long way. Our product range has evolved, we are a B Corp, we have even more advanced filtration systems that continue to provide affordable, clean drinking water to communities across Indonesia. We’re proud to say we’ve reached over 500 hundred thousand people, and we’re still driven by our goal: to ensure that everyone, everywhere, has access to safe drinking water.
